All of our oysters are graded by professional oyster farmers to suit sales in Safe Food Accredited facilities and packaged for transport.
Once our Oysters are harvested in Coffin Bay, ATP Seafood manages all freight requirements, Air or Road directly from the Oyster Farms and caters for Australia Wide deliveries.
All transport is Accredited Refrigeration at 1 to 3 degrees from the Farm gate to the destination.
The temperature throughout transit is monitored on deliveries.
Wholesale Oyster orders are delivered straight from farm to client.
Our oysters are as fresh as they get in South East Queensland. They are delivered within 4 days of being harvested and are still alive when they arrive. Closed oysters can last fresh out of the water for 10 days.
The harvest date and shucking date will be provided upon oyster collection.
All of our oysters come packaged in either a tray or bag/box depending on the quantity you buy. They are fine to travel short distances as is but we recommend you bring a cooler bag or esky if you have a bit of travel time ahead of you.
The bulk bags may leak a small amount so best to bring a towel or esky to put this in if you're picking up a bulk order.
We currently offer delivery between Caloundra and Mooloolaba for orders of over 10 dozen oysters for a flat fee of $10. If you have a special request or would like orders delivered to anywhere else in Australia, please get in touch with us and we'll see if we can help you out.

Shucked oysters (covered) will last safely in the refrigerator (at 2-6 degrees) for 5 days.
Unshucked oysters will last safely in the refrigerator (at 2-6 degrees) for 10 days.
Unshucked oysters can also be frozen and will last up to three (3) months in the freezer.
Opened Shucked Oysters Fresh Refrigerated - Store fresh oysters in the refrigerator at a temperature of 2 degrees to 6 degrees. Ensure all oysters are covered or sealed to maintain 100% freshness and prevent the oysters from drying out.
Opened oysters will safely last 5 days in the above conditions in the refrigerator.
All ATP Seafood oysters are shucked as closely to customers collection time as possible to ensure the freshest quality. The harvest date and shucking date will be provided upon oysters collection.
Unopened (Unshucked) Oyster Fresh Refrigerated – Unopened Oysters kept in a Refrigerator at a temperature of 2 degrees to 6 degrees will last safely 10 days from a ticked harvest date. Ensure all oysters are covered or sealed to maintain 100% freshness and prevent them from drying out when the oysters muscle begins to relax and shell starts to open.
Freezing Oysters – Freezing oysters is perfectly safe to do. Oysters can be kept in the freezer for up to 3 months. After 3 months, you run the risk of your oysters becoming freezer-burned. Check out out tips below on how best to thaw out your frozen oysters.
When you're ready to thaw them out, place the bag of oyster shells into your refrigerator for about 24 hours.
Hot tip: It's best to thaw them out in an upright position so they retain the salt water in them when they open for maximum taste retention.
